Mark Connolly, Crawley Town

As a professional athlete, I train or play almost every day. Recovery is crucial to ensure we are ready for our matches. Nutrition is crucial and you can’t out train a bad diet - it will only lead to poor performance. Having a ready to eat, lean protein source that is free from artificial preservatives & gluten free is so handy. Rucksnacks tastes great, contains 100% Irish beef. I love having a snack in the evening when we are resting, a taste of Ireland!

Mark has previously played for Kilmarnock FC, Bolton Wanderers, St. Johnstone, Macclesfield Town and represented the Republic of Ireland at under-21 level.

Jonathan Douglas, Ipswich Town

As a professional soccer player I know how important recovery is, especially with a match every weekend. I place a big emphasis on recovery and ensuring my body is right for the next training session or match. I am a strong believer that good nutrition is a key element of maintaining my body and ensuring I am ready for the matches. Having a ready to eat, lean protein source that is free from artificial preservatives & gluten free is so handy. Rucksnacks tastes great, contains 100% Irish beef. It’s a must for my bag when we are travelling to away games and I love having it when in the morning between sessions.

Jonathon has previously played for Blackburn Rover, Chesterfield, Blackpool, Gillingham, Leeds United, Swindon Town and Brentford. Jonathan represented the Republic of Ireland at underage and senior level.

Fintan Kelly, Monaghan Senior GAA Footballer

During my childhood, I always dreamed of playing for my county. Competition for places is very tight and you always have to be at your best during training and matches. Nutrition is essential to achieving and maintaining a high level of performance. Often, I can be late when I get home from training. With work the next morning, it’s great having ready to eat pouches of high protein snacks available. I never leave the house without a pouch of Rucksnacks to snack on during the day.
Best thing is, they taste great, contain 100% Irish beef, only natural ingredients, and, its produced locally.

John Jenkins, CrossFitter & Physiotherapist

I always loved sport from a young age and when deciding my future I knew physiotherapy was my calling. Working with human body every day, I deal with mainly muscular injuries. As a qualified Physiotherapist, I often tell my clients that recovery and nutrition is always overlooked. Protein is needed for muscle repair and recovery. Rucksnacks beef snacks are high in lean protein, while providing added vitamins and iron, which is perfect. I love that it is 100% Irish. I love snacking on Rucksnacks between appointments and after a crossfit session.
